Guess what this a-hole was busted huffing? I love Smoking Gun mugshots.
I have to get serious for one minute here, then it’s back to good times and beer. Last night and Sunday’s installments of the “Path to 9/11″ TV movie on ABC were total bullshit. They bended the truth and re-wrote facts to make their story more dramatic and fit in their tight primetime slot.
I don’t [...]
The sissyfication of Illinois continues this week with talk of a ban on 24- and 32-ounce cans of beer in the town of Granite City. Apparently, they’re sold in something called a paper bag which increases the potential for litter.
You know what Granite City? We call them King Cans up here because they rule. They [...]
Because the news is never good when you’re as hungover as I am…
Yet another reason why the European Union is a bunch of douche bags.
Sure, lets take away the only thing that makes Canadian college football interesting.
Well, somebody’s got to drink Miller Lite. I’m just glad it’s not me.
That’s right, book ‘em fellas. Keep your [...]
No news yet on whether she was drinking beer, but Paris Hilton’s DUI arrest still tops beerandnews’ Law & Order update.
It’s like I always say, beer thieves always get what they deserve in the end. My only hope is that the dude who pinched my last Stella last weekend will suffer a similar fate.
This is [...]
Lakeport Brewing has given their “Strong” brand a facelift, hoping that a more contemporary looking label will give them an edge in the oh-so-competitive value beer market. Unfortunately, being the leader in this market is like being the hot girl at fat camp.
What Lakeport do should is give themselves a beer-lift and develop a beverage [...]
So, Tuesday night’s new episode of Rescue Me kicked my ass — almost as bad as Tommy kicked his brother’s ass. The show’s having a hard time in the States where critics say the third season’s plot is too outrageous [spolier alert]. But I don’t care. I’m gonna sit it out. Nothing else to [...]
Got my tickets to go to the Sloan record release party Sept. 19. It’s their only scheduled Toronto gig at the moment and I was afraid I might miss out because the venue’s kind of small and there aren’t a ton of tickets available to the public.
The guys seem to have discovered YouTube and posted [...]
Bad news for East Coast travellers — CanJet has announced it’s grounding its fleet and cancelling all flights scheduled after Sept. 10.
I thought the days of $500 for a return flight to Halifax were over. In fact, I haven’t paid more than $350 in the last five years that I’ve been flying with CanJet.
Pity.
Alberta premier Ralph Klein attended his last Question Period and news conference in Edmonton yesterday, and although he’s divided a lot of people within his province and out, it was still a significant occasion worth noting.
Plus, jotting something down about it lets me run my favourite picture of the man on the right. Thank you [...]
