Genius issues

Now this is the type of thing you hate to see being done in the media. Until recently, I thought Esquire was a pretty good mag, and I was impressed with the cover below when it came out a month ago. But now, as a number of blogs have pointed out, it’s clear that they’re ripping off a cool design concept from promo material for one of North America’s best-known rock festivals. Makes you wonder what kind of grab-ass the $1 million Art Directors behind these magazines are up when they’re supposed to be coming up with original designs. Sheeesh.
